About Me

Hello!   Thank you checking out my blog!  My name is Mandy Gregory.  I have taught in two of the largest districts in Metro Atlanta.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.

I am very passionate about teaching and learning!  I have my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from a teeny-tiny college in the mountains.  It was called North Georgia College and State University way back then!  I earned my Masters in Reading from Mercer University in 2007.

I  have served on many committees for my school and district included the report card committee in which the district made the move to standards based grading, benchmark committees in which I helped edit and revised county benchmark tests for both Math and ELA, and served as a Common Core Lab classroom. As a Lab Class I collaborated with a district coach and another teacher to create an ELA unit. Then other teachers, administrators, and area superintendents were able to observe the Common Core Standards in action before implementing it in their own schools.

I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year for my schools in both 2007 and 2012.  I was absolutely shocked to be named Mercer University Outstanding Reading Student upon graduating in 2007.  That was a good year for me!;)

I have been happily married to a wonderful man for almost ten years and am the mother to two beautiful little girls.

We also have two fur babies.

I love the blogging community and all the friends I have made through this little blog.  Thank you so much for stopping by!
